Welcome to my new destination TiffiCraft.
This space is dedicated to you and I and the content that we mutually adore chatting about. My desire is to inspire you with chic yet approachable style through every aspect of life - fashion, beauty, life and travel.
Eleven months ago I started posting daily style content on Instagram with the first specks of this vision in mind. I did it more as a challenge to stretch myself because I had stepped away from the fashion industry several years ago, having worked as an international corporate executive for incredible brands such as Calvin Klein and Bisou Bisou while also writing fashion and beauty articles for international publications such as ELLE, Vogue and Glamour. Though life moves forward and I felt satisfied with my role as a wellness director and life coach for a fantastic global wellness company; there was still a piece of me that wanted to dip my toes back into the pool of style. To be honest, I think once the creative fibers of fashion and beauty weave into your being, it’s a sensation that dives deep into your system and never entirely departs. Still, Instagram was an altogether new beast for me.
When I first decided to post on Instagram professionally, I had less than 100 followers made up mostly of personal friends. I also was camera shy. The thought of posing daily for photos terrified me. I love to dress up, but I am more comfortable being behind the camera making other women look beautiful for pictures. On top of that, I had a terrible experience with a skincare specialist who incorrectly guided me to use products that made my rosacea severely erupt causing scaring to my cheeks. The positive lesson from that encounter was that I educated myself about skincare and made it a mission to learn as much as I could about emerging skincare technology to help myself and others, but it didn’t change the fact that I felt very self-conscious of my looks.

Initially, I kept my posts safe by running a series named September Selfie Reset which invited my friends to follow my daily tips for transforming their wellbeing as they rebooted for a new season of self-care. So often I had been asked for my top self-care tips, and this seemed like a great way to celebrate all the greatness, flaws and potential that each of us has within of our continually evolving life journey. For the series, I mostly used scene photography that inspired me with a few selfies sprinkled in. Surprisingly to me, I suddenly had over 100 new friends by the end of that month.

From there, I wasn’t sure what direction to go, but I knew that I was having fun with the posts. I thought about the content I enjoyed following most, and my heart answered back - fashion, beauty and travel. And life! What would life be if we didn’t stretch ourselves to try new things scared and cheer each other on for our accomplishments?

With that, the next thing I knew, Mr. Z encouraged me to sit down in the Eames RAR Rocking Chair so that he could shoot some phone photos of me in my favorite boots and a Leith shift dress. And the rest is history as they say. If Mr. Z isn’t styling my shots then the chances are that Leah, my dear friend and work-wife, is running outside with me on office breaks to capture the daily look. She’s a great photographer who can usually snap the looks many of you love in less than a dozen frames.

I honestly didn’t know that I would fall in love with the creative process of blogging or just how much my readers would come to mean to me. I didn’t realize becoming a blogger would lead me to form amazing friendships, evolve my sense of style, make me want to create live beauty tutorials, travel to cities that I want to share with you, or trick me into learning website coding and lighting techniques. If I had known these things from the beginning, perhaps I wouldn’t have dived in. But, thankfully here I am almost a year later. It turns out, I love writing, and I love telling a good story. Today, a new chapter of this journey begins with the launch of this TiffiCraft website.

Thank you so much for taking the time to connect with my corner of the blogging sphere. Your love and support mean the world to me. I am so excited to have this space to experiment with what’s stylishly attainable for all of us and to reflect my musings about the choices, feelings and behavior that will shape our greater self-awareness. Indeed, TiffiCraft is a piece of all of us because you inspire me to keep creating a destination that fills us up with delight. I am so grateful to share so much with so many. Let’s keep evolving together!!!
